Classic Fighters Marlborough - Vol 1 (France) [e-Book]

PDF e-Book :  Pay what you think it's worth! Or Nothing. It's up to you.

106 pages of awesome aviation action from Omaka Aerodrome in New Zealand.    Ideal for iPad or other tablets.

This e-book is a re-issue of the pictorial record of the third Classic Fighters Marlborough airshow (Omaka Aerodrome, New Zealand), but it's much more than just an airshow souvenir as it features over 300 high quality photos of an impressive array of vintage, warbird and military aircraft (see the full list at the bottom of this blurb) throughout its 106 pages.

In addition the book contains direct links to the video segments from the official DVD, so while you're connected to the internet you can easily jump to our Historical Machines Freeview video channel to watch those video clips, including some that are not otherwise publicly available. There's over two hours of awesome aviation video footage available via these hot links.

The First World War Aviation Historical Society (UK) reviewed the original hard copy edition of this book and had this to say:

For all who missed it, this souvenir pictorial booklet of the third biennial Classic Fighters Marborough at Omaka Aerodrome, Blenheim, New Zealand over Easter 2005 certainly makes one want to be there for their next spectacular in 2007.

With 104 (sic) pages of glorious colour, half of those being full page photographs of the many aircraft taking part from all periods, this attractive booklet manages to record most of the action and atmosphere there, including re-enactments from both world wars. The WW1 flying pictures alone certainly make this worthwhile: the Sopwith Camel, Bristol F2B Fighter, DH2 and DH5 Scouts; a Nieuport 24, Pfalz D.III, Halberstadt D.IV and of course those five Fokker Dr.I triplanes, plus a BE2 under restoration.
The booklet is a labour of love covering everything that displayed, plus the various static displays, and provides a background to those who prepared the event, so it is thoroughly recommended, and an overall good read.
